Biography
Eugene Lin, MD, MS, is a nephrologist and health services researcher with a focus on economic policies pertaining to kidney disease. He is a nationally recognized expert on the impact of public policy and federal regulation on kidney care, the provision of dialysis in public and private insurance markets, and transitions of care for patients with kidney disease. He is an NIH-funded investigator, and his work has been published in leading health policy and medical journals, including JAMA, Health Affairs, and JAMA Internal Medicine.
In addition to his academic roles at USC, he currently serves on the National Kidney Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board and the American Society of Nephrology’s Transplant Policy Committee. He has also participated as a key stakeholder in multiple Technical Expert Panels for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Dr. Lin completed a postdoctoral fellowship in nephrology at the Stanford School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
