Biography

Virat Agrawal is policy researcher specializing in health policy and economics. His current research focuses on how macro-level shocks, public policy and regulations affect health outcomes, economic well-being and quality of life. His research on the spillover effects of COVID-19-era policies has been featured in prominent media outlets, including The Economist, WSJ-MarketWatch, The Washington Times, and others.

Virat earned a PhD in Public Policy and Management, with a focus on health policy and economics, from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California (USC). He holds a BS in Biomedical engineering from VIT University in India and an MS in the same field from USC. Before transitioning into public policy, Virat spent three years working in the medical device industry.
