Biography
Gavin S. Herbert co-founded Allergan Inc. — a healthcare company providing pharmaceutical products worldwide — and was its chief executive officer from 1961 to 1991. He currently chairs Roger’s Gardens, a garden center in Newport Beach, Calif., as well as Regenesis, which is based in San Clemente, Calif. and manufactures and markets products for remediation of contaminated underground water.
He is a board member of the Doheny Eye Institute and the Nixon Foundation, and is a life trustee of the University of Southern California.
Herbert previously served on the board of directors of Allergan, the Allergan Foundation, SmithKline-Beckman, Beckman Corp. and the Beckman Foundation.
