Biography

Jodi L. Liu is a health policy and health economics researcher. Her research broadly focuses on health care costs and dementia care. She has experience leading quantitative and mixed method studies to study the effects of health care policy changes. Prior to joining USC, she spent 10 years as a researcher at RAND, where she led and contributed to studies analyzing Medicare payments, health insurance coverage, household and government spending, surprise medical billing, health care consolidation, single-payer health care, and health care utilization and capacity for dementia diagnosis and treatment.

Liu earned her PhD in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School (now the RAND School of Public Policy), MSPH in global disease epidemiology and control from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and MSE in biomedical engineering and BSE in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
