Biography
Addam Reynolds, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. He earned his PhD in Social Work from Rutgers University. His research examines how social and structural inequalities experienced across the life course shape health and aging in later life. Broadly, his scholarship focuses on the social determinants of healthy aging, with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and health disparities. His work has demonstrated how structural forces, including racism and socioeconomic inequality, contribute to disparities in cognitive aging by linking early-life disadvantage to cognitive outcomes in older adulthood. His current research investigates disparities in ADRD risk among sexual and gender minority populations and examines how socioeconomic conditions across the life course influence neurodegeneration.
