Dementia and the Value of Home Time

Courney Van Houtven, PhD, MSc, is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Population Health Science at Duke University School of Medicine and Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy. She is also director of the Department’s Center to Advance the Science of Complex Care: Aging, Disability, and Equity (CASCADE). Dr. Van Houtven’s research focuses on economics of aging and long-term care policies and financing, especially care at home. She strives to identify pragmatic trials, care models, and policies that optimize the ability of people with complex care needs to age in place while at the same time supporting their family and friend caregivers.

This seminar is cosponsored by the USC AD/ADRD Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (P30AG043073) and the United States Cost of Dementia Project (#U01AG086827).
